Radio Link - Derby County Commentaries

Radio Link volunteer commentators at Pride Park Stadium gave full match commentary of each Derby County home match, for supporters with visual impairments and similar disabilities, from the 1950s until 2016.
We even received an award from the Hospital Broadcasting Association for our Sportslink programme which included the commentaries.
Then, the coverage within the ground was improved via a SoccerSight radio system providing signals to dedicated headsets, in addition to the Hearing Loop systems at various locations around the ground.

In 2016, it was decided that our volunteer's commentaries were no longer required by the club.

Our sincere thanks to all the volunteers who've provided the commentaries over the many years, for the benefit of hospital patients and disabled supporters at the Derby County ground, and our thanks to the club for looking after our volunteers.
